As a former officer in the US Army, the founder and president of Forever Verdant, LLC understands the meaning of accountability. A West Point graduate and OIF Veteran, Tim O'Connor transitioned from the demands of life in uniform to a successful career in the financial services industry. While reading a book about reduction, reuse, and recycling (R3) to his daughter’s pre-school class, he was reminded of a broader responsibility as a parent: to ensure the next generation inherits a healthy planet.
A business trip to various cities in China amidst a series of catastrophic earthquakes reinforced this awakening. A chain of events along the way also helped Tim to better understand his own environmental shortcomings.
As he began to integrate more environmentally friendly practices into his life, Tim realized that while many people are environmentally conscious, few have the time, resources, or knowledge to achieve their environmental goals. His company, Forever Verdant, LLC, endeavors to help individuals, families, schools, small businesses, and communities bridge the gap between being environmentally aware and being environmentally active.
